Learning the Alphabet

Faith has recently discovered an alphabet book that Grandma and Grandpa gave her for her christening – she pulled it off the shelf and now keeps wanting me to read it to her. So I say ‘here is Ah, and Ah is for Apple and Axe and Arrow; and here is Buh, and Buh is for Bunny and Butterfly and Boat and Bee’ and so on, while she says ‘Ah, Ah, Ah’ and ‘Buh, Buh, Buh’ etc. very enthusiastically. I doubt she’s getting an idea of the shapes of the actual letters yet, but she’s certainly very keen to learn their sounds!
