Zoe’s speech is really taking off. New words every day – and some lovely pronunciations, like ‘upsy tairs’ for upstairs. (Much to everyone’s relief, ‘potty’ is now ‘dotty’, and clearly distinguishable from ‘Daddy’.) She likes to read books sitting in my ‘nap’, and point out facial features such as ‘eye’ and ‘noffe’.
She’s starting to talk in sentences too. ‘Daddy close door’ and ‘I like ducks’. She really does like ducks, though her attempts to feed them seem to attract pigeons more than anything else. That’s OK. They’re great fun to chase.
