Consonants

Clapping hands!

Clapping hands!

Zoe discovered consonants very suddenly on Friday afternoon. Now she’s constantly saying things like ‘Da dja lalalablaya’ and ‘Eeeeoeooeea thatha da da djla’. Other new developments include clapping her hands and walking her hands in front of her with her bottom in the air – so very nearly crawling!

Happy baby!

Happy baby!

She’s wearing a pair of my socks. I’m giving her a lot of nappy-free time at the moment and wanted something to keep her legs warm. I went looking for baby stockings. I found that a Google search for ‘baby stockings’ or ‘baby thigh socks’ does not for the most part bring up links to pages about baby socks that extend the whole length of the leg!

They do exist, and can even be bought in the UK but cost £12 or more per pair! I can buy a pack of five socks that fit me for under a tenner. As far as I can see the only real difference is in the location of the heel turn.

I can nearly reach it!

I can nearly reach it!

So yeah, she’s wearing a pair of my socks.
